Remote start on T8

I have a T8 XC90 and live in Pennsylvania. Does anyone know if there is an add on accessory that will actually allow me to remote start the car when it isn't plugged in? Unfortunately, on the T8 using the on-call app only allows you to "precondition" the car when it is plugged in. It is often 20 degrees or colder when I'm leaving work at night and I can't plug in at work which means I'm stuck getting in a cold car with no apparent option to fix it.

I was told it would be available via software update in the future. I thought it was a very interesting feature to be omitted on such a high-end vehicle.

Agreed. With a starting price well over $60K, not having a true remote start is ridiculous.

I have a T8 in the UK. Remote start doesn't work but preconditioning will work without being plugged in as long as there is some charge and the fuel is not too low. I have it on a timer for every morning and I can activate it from the app.
