XC60 2014 headlight lens replacement

I bought a pair of replacement lenses. I've seen some examples where they heat the housing to 200-220F for 15 mins then slowly peel the old lens off. I've also seen a Volvo youtube where he cuts the old lens off with a dremel and then uses a heat gun to pull the rest off of the housing? The 2nd example looks like a major pain, whereas heating it in an oven I've done before on a different vehicle.
Has anyone successfully done the oven method to remove the old lens, or what are the risks?
